Well, we can't quite believe it, but it's almost a year since we won the Muddy Stilettos 'Best Children's Business in Devon' award, and what a year it's been!
We have been REALLY busy building our increasingly popular retail offering, both in our lovely boutique style shop, and on our website, which enables us to continue to raise funds for 12 local primary schools.
We are also really proud to have become a recognised 'warm space' and to have set up a Community Fridge and Larder for our community, over the last few months. These services are being used regularly and are making a real difference to local families in our community.
We have also won more awards!
In March we were very pleased indeed to receive the West Devon Borough Council Mayoral Award, for service to our local community.
Then, in April, with an initial 14,000 nominations nationally across the award categories, and then being shortlisted to a small group of national organisations, we were delighted to be invited to 'The Great British Awards ~ Business and Community' final award ceremony in Reading.
Sadie attended the ceremony and was absolutely stunned when we were announced as the winner of the 'Outstanding Contribution to The Community Award 2023'!
We feel like we are becoming truly rooted within our community which is a great privilege within itself; to receive recognition of this on any level is amazing, but to receive it at a national level is absolutely incredible!
We couldn't continue to do what we do however without the loyal support of all our customers, donors, volunteers and social media followers. For that, we sincerely thank every single one of you!
